Mr. Kringle & Company® Seeks Stage Manager for 2015 Season of Kringle’s Inventionasium®
Come help us make the magic happen! Mr. Kringle & Company® is seeking a Stage Manager for the 2015 holiday season of Kringle’s Inventionasium®, an interactive, immersive theatrical experience produced annually at Tower City Center in downtown Cleveland, OH.
The Inventionasium® entertains over 20,000 guests annually during a 30 day run, attracts diverse families from all across the country, and boasts one of the “Best Santas in the U.S.” according to TIME.com.
For families seeking an innovative holiday activity, Kringle’s Inventionasium® delivers a fresh yet timeless interactive experience that honors the spirit of Krismas.
The Inventionasium® itself is Mr. Kringle’s inventing laboratory, where he invites children and their families to engage in imaginative activities to help prepare for the Krismas holiday. Mr. Kringle’s many Inventors, friends and family members populate the Inventionasium® and lead guests through its many stations, guiding them to engage with Inventionasium characters and each other, to make lasting memories with their family and friends. The tour through the Inventionasium® concludes with a private visit and photo opportunity with Mr. Kringle®.
The right Stage Manager would effectively and efficiently manage the daily backstage operations by following and enforcing the expectations and guidelines set forth by Mr. Kringle® while continuing to promote a positive, fun and playful atmosphere.
A qualified individual would meet the following criteria:
- 3+ years professional stage management experience
- Ability to thrive in a face-paced environment, quickly adapt to unexpected situations and use good judgment under pressure
- Highly skilled in the areas of problem solving, organization, leadership, teamwork & interpersonal communication
- Excellence in efficient time management and multi-tasking
- Exercises a sense of humor on a daily basis
- Bachelors or Masters in Theater/Stage Management is preferred
This position pays $3500 for an 8 week training & performance period beginning November 2nd. Responsible for all daily pre-show preparations, cast scheduling, cast cueing, character changeovers, prop management, environment cleanliness and upkeep as well as backstage management. Must be able to work mornings, weekends and long hours.
Kringle’s Inventionasium® opens November 20th, with previews the preceding week (Dates TBA), and runs daily through December 24th.
