Ac’tiv•ist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Web series
Ac’tiv•ist is a short-form narrative comedy web series that shines a humorous spotlight on college activism. Throughout the series, an aspiring student organizer grapples with the simultaneously inspiring, mind-numbingly banal, infuriatingly stupid, and downright absurd nature of campus activism as she starts a campaign to force her college to divest from Israel. As she is pulled ever-further into the labyrinthine world of activism, she must also deal with her mother, love interest, teachers, and friends who fail to understand her activist life.
We will be holding three rounds of auditions — in New York, Swarthmore, PA and Amherst, MA. For those of you who cannot make those dates or locations, we will also be accepting online video auditions until October 15. We are seeking actors age 17+ of all races and genders. There are a lot of good parts for college students/graduates as well as “real” adults.

You remember college activism. You saw it, you lived through it. The crazy. The ridiculous. The thrill. We remember it. We lived it. Now we’re making a show about it.
College organizers Amelia Dornbush and Joshua Wolfsun introduce “ac’tiv•ist” — a new comedy web series about campus activism due out next Spring. The show will be shot over the course of two weeks in January 2016 for a June 2016 premiere. Written by a current college organizer, ac’tiv•ist is an independent series produced entirely by current college students and recent graduates.
