Acting Job in Detroit – Now casting The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Show

Seeking actors and actresses ages 18 and up for hire as company members in The Dinner Detective.
The Dinner Detective, as performed across the country from L.A. to Chicago to Boston is the largest, award-winning, interactive comedic murder mystery dinner show in the U.S. The shows are set in the present day which means no cheesy costumes, no campy dialogue and no hokey song and dance. Our performers are dressed just like everyone else, leaving all of the guests to suspect who is a part of the show and who is not. Guests are seated with performers and don’t even realize it until the reveal in the end. By the end of the night, four courses have been served and prizes have been awarded to the top sleuth who solves the crime.
Seeking performers with comedic ability (improv experience a plus) as well the ability to play a real person, blending into the audience.
Pay ranges from $80 (per performance) for the two lead detectives, to $40 (per performance) for seated performers. Roles rotate by performance. All roles also include tips and a meal at every performance.
Auditions will take place at the Embassy Suites, Troy (850 Tower Drive, Troy, MI, 48098) on one of the to following dates:
Wednesday, October 28th, 8:00pm-10:00pm
Thursday, October 29th, 8:00pm-10:00pm
Auditions will consist of small scripted bits, which will be sent to you once you are scheduled, as well as some exercises to convey the ability to convince audience members you are not actors. Expect to stay no more than 2 hours.
The Dinner Detective performances will typically be held on Saturday nights at the Embassy Suites, with occasional weekday & off-site shows. Call times between 4pm and 5pm. No rehearsals aside from pre-show speed runthrough of script each week. Availability for all Saturdays will not be a determining factor in casting, we will be able to work around conflicts.
