“Independence Day 2” Casting Call for Extras in New Mexico – 3 Day Booking

“Independence Day 2“, now called,  “Independence Day Resurgence” is filming in the Albuquerque area and casting locals to work as paid movie extras next week.

Casting directors for ID 2 are looking for New Mexico locals to fill small, non-speaking background roles in the production. Currently, there is a call out for extras to play area 51 staff and security. The scene will be filming next week and needs local talent that is available for all dates. OLC is looking for clean cut, conservative looking men and women in good physical shape between the ages of 18 and 45 for the shoot. All roles are paid and those cast can expect to make around $72 per 8 hour day on set with overtime being paid if the shoot goes over 8 hours. The sci-fi, alien invasion flick is reported to be a 2 movie deal with the first film in production this summer and due to be released in theaters July,  2016.  Roland Emmerich is directing the new  “Independence Day” movie from a screenplay written by Carter Blanchard.   “Independence Day Resurgence”  will be set 20 years after the original “Independence Day“, July, 2016.  Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner, Judd Hirsch and Bill Pullman will all be returning for the long awaited sequel.  Also in the new cast are Charlotte Gainsbourg, Liam Hemsworth, William Fichtner, Jessie Usher and according to the ID2 IMDB page, Maika Monroe will be playing Bill Pullman’s, adult daughter, Patricia Whitmore. Bent Spiner is also listed as part of the ID2 cast. Spiner’s Br. Okun character was killed in the original “Independence Day“… but 20 years later, seems the Dr. will be coming back. While Will Smith, or his character will not be returning for the sequel, his son will.  A previous ID2  casting call mentioned that Captain Steven Hiller’s, now adult son, is part of the film and is a pilot taking part in the fight to save planet Earth.

We do not have wrap times so you would need to be fully 100% available on each work date. You MUST have open/flexible availability if submitting so that you can work WHATEVER the call times & wrap times end up being. If not, please DO NOT SUBMIT!

Pay rate for EXTRAS is $72.00 for 8 hours ($9.00/hour with a 8 hour guarantee). Overtime will be paid after 8 hours. You will receive a check in the mail usually 10-14 business days AFTER you work.

AREA 51 TECHS, TROOPS & SECURITY: male and female, all ethnicities, age range 18-40, clean-cut (NO facial hair!), conservative, fit and in good physical shape, athletic, 5’9″ or taller (men) and 5’4″ or taller (women). Men MUST be willing to let us give you a short military haircut. No overweight or “paunchy” types – must be in ‘fighting shape’ and should be comfortable carrying a weapon & running. Previous military or law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
