Seeking Male Dancers (ballet/modern/jazz/contemporary/salsa)

The Dalia Carella Dance Collective is looking for male dancers to perform in the fall premiere of our dance docudrama, “The Abduction of Genoveffa.” Conceived and choreographed by renowned global fusion artist, Dalia Carella, it is based on the true story of a young Italian woman who was kidnapped, forced to marry her kidnapper and brought to America.
There will be four performances in NYC (at Triskelion Arts Center): 10/22, 10/23, 10/24 and 10/25. Rehearsals will be on Friday OR Saturday afternoons (TBD), from mid-August through October. There will be compensation for the performances, as well as a travel stipend for rehearsals.
We are looking for men with olive-toned skin and dark hair, are at least 5’5” and have a strong background in ballet, modern, jazz or contemporary. Experience with partner dancing (tango, swing, salsa, etc.) is a strong plus.
