Circles
Location: Minneapolis
Type: Theater
CASTING: One young actor, either female or male, that can believably play around the age of ten, for Red Eye Theater’s New Works Festival. The actor would be considered for Circles, a fifteen-minute semi-improvisational play written by Deborah Yarchun, Jerome Fellow at The Playwright’s Center, and directed by Adrian Balbontin.
Must have prior theatrical experience and be comfortable with improvisation. This is a new work and will be developed during the rehearsal process. Schedule will be made in part around the actors’ schedules, but certain dates are mandatory for showcasing to the Artistic Directors of Red Eye during the process.
Circles will explore telling a story in a roundabout way with a gradual reveal of what’s at the center. It’s an immersive theater experience that will seat the audience on the stage in a circular configuration. Circles will focus intimately on three characters and will unfold through interactive, interconnected monologues.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented young actress /actor to help create a piece from the ground up.
