Nickelodeon’s Spongebob is headed to Broadway and auditions are coming up next month.
Auditions for Nickelodeon’s new show are coming up! The show’s casting directors will be auditioning equity dancers on the 2nd at NYC’s Pearl Studios. The show is looking to cast male and female performers of all shapes and sizes for featured ensemble roles.
Following the success of the Nickelodeon Spongebob movie, Nickelodeon will now be bringing the underwater world of Spongebob to the stage. “SpongeBob” is set to debut at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre in the summer of 2016 after which the show will be headed to Broadway for a 2016 / 2017 engagement.”The SpongeBob Musical” will star SpongeBob SquarePants and the rest of the familiar characters of Bikini Bottom which include Patrick, Squidward, Sandy Cheeks and Mr. Krabs.
Nick has lined up an incredible list of performers to provide music for the show which include music legends David Bowie, Steven Tyles and Joe Perry. Also, according to Rant Hollywood, John Legend, The Flaming Lips, Jonathon Coulton, Dirty Projectors, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Lauper, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s and They Might Be Giants are also involved in the new show and writing new music for it.

Men and women, All ethnicities, variety of character types, to play early 20’s-mid 40’s.
Please come warmed up and ready to dance in comfortable dance attire. Ladies should bring both heels and flats. Men should have sneakers or comfortable dance shoes.
