“Game of Thrones” will be holding an open casting call for extras in Spain.
The HBO series announced earlier this year that the new season would be filming some scenes in Spain. The show normally films in Ireland but now Spanish fans have a chance to get cast in small extras roles on “Game of Thrones” season 6.
The show’s extras casting directors announced through a Spanish language casting notice that they would be needing 1000+ extras of all ages. Winteriscoming translated the casting notice (from the original Spanish text on Los Siete Reinos.)… The Internet has also been a buzz over reports that there is a talent search on for speaking roles and new characters to join the cast of “Game of Thrones“. According to the show’s casting directors, those reports are not accurate and there is no such search at this time. Seems the fake casting call for “Game of Thrones” speaking roles was created by a company looking to sell some acting classes.
“Game of Thrones” will be filming in Spain, around Girona between September 3rd and 18th of this year.
Modexpor International is looking at more than 1200 men and 1200 women. The production is seeking background talent of all ethnictiies, ages 18+.
The casting call will be open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on June 30th in Girone, please see the casting flyer below for the details.
Here is what they are looking for… roughly translated.
Preference will be given to “thin” people, because it’s TV, and there’s a call for “men with good physical condition (not bodybuilders).” It wants “men with short hair/women with long hair. People with very modern hairstyles will be removed from the casting.” So no vulgar words shaved into the back of your head, extras. That’s not medieval.
Hair in general is a touchy area with Modexpor. The notice is very specific as to what not to do.“The hair color should be uniform, without streaks, not worth these hair colors: verde, red, violet, azil, pink, Californian wicks, etc …”
“Men should be prepared to let grow or cut their facial hair.”
Finally, no one with tattoos.
No word yet on whether there will be another open casting call for “Game of Thrones” in the area. The show is not scheduled to begin production for a few months. Folks living in Spain who may have missed this open call, can see the ModExpor site for more information.
Extras casting directors for “Game of Thrones” in Ireland (Extras NI) have also announced that production will begin shortly and they too will be needing lots of extras in the Northern Ireland area.
I would like to try out for it, you can just send me where and what to my email. I look at my email every day.
The Game of Thrones casting call information is listed on the post. It was held in Spain.
