This is a musical by the composer/lyricist of “Mame,” “Hello Dolly,” and “La Cage Aux Folles.” This is a true story is about the complex relationship between Max Sennett, a temperamental, workaholic film director and Mabel Normand, a waitress who became one of his biggest stars.
In a series of flashbacks, Sennett recalls the time he discovered Mabel back in 1911, her rise to stardom and their love affair, until when she leaves him to work for the “serious” director W. D. Taylor.
PERFORMANCE DATES: March 11 – April 10, 2016, Fridays & Saturdays @ 8:00pm, Sundays @ 2:00pm.
AUDITION DATES: Monday, December 14, 2015 @ 7:00pm & Tuesday, December 15, 2015 @ 7:00pm at the theater.
Call backs, if necessary, will occur on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 8:30pm
Auditions will be held at the theater.

CAST OF CHARACTERS:
MACK SENNETT
Age Range: 35-50 yrs.
– A gruff, workaholic movie director, baritone.
MABEL NORMAND
Age Range: 20’s-30yrs.
– A deli delivery girl who becomes a movie star.
Mack reluctantly becomes romantically involved with her, mezzo-soprano.
FRANK WYMAN
Age Range: 20-40 yrs.
– An actor/writer, and later a director, baritone.
LOTTIE AMES
Age: Range: 30-40yrs.
– A silent movie star, mezzo-soprano. Must belt and be able to tap dance.
WILLIAM DESMOND TAYLOR ***Non-Singing Role***
Age Range: 40-50yrs.
– A “serious” director, and rival for both Mabel’s acting talents and her affections.
MR. KLEIMAN
Age Range: 40-50yrs.
– An accountant.
EDDIE
Age Range: 30’s-50yrs.
– Kleiman’s partner.
ELLA
Age Range: Any
– A piano player (will double in other chorus roles).
FATTY
Age Range: 20’s-30’s.
– Silent film actor. Tenor. (Not required, but supposed to be Fatty Arbuckle.)
4 Chorus girls – Must be able to tap dance. Age Range: 20’s-30’s
