“Sharknado 3” Extras Casting Call in Orlando

Looks like the TV phenomenon known as Sharknado will be coming back for round 3 and this time the sharks are hitting the “Feast Coast”.

The TV movie will be filming in the Orlando area starting this week and the movie’s extras casting directors is looking for all types of people, ages 18+ to work as paid background extras. Heather Heinz Casting released a few casting calls for the film looking for background actors / extras who are available in the Orlando area for scenes filming between the 17th and 25th.

Ready to get bloody? We know the film will need lots of carnage as the sharks come raining down on spring break in Florida. According to reports director Anthony C. Ferrante is directing the third film in the franchise and he promises mass destruction starting in DC and leaving a trail of mass destruction and of course, body parts, all the way down to South Florida.

The last “Sharknado” movie seemed to be quite a hit with the viewers. The film beat out all its Wednesday night competition to get the top spot in network viewership numbers, not to mention, it was SyFy’s most viewed film of all time.  Deadline.com reports that “Sharknado 3” is using the working title of Vortex and that the project will be wrapping soon. Production will be down in Orlando this week and next to film the final scenes. 

Deadline also reports that Cassie Scerbo will be back to reprise her role as Nova Clarke. Joining Cassie Scerbo in the feast fest will be returning stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. Producers are calling the Eastern Seaboard the “Feast Coast.” According to IMDB  Fin and April will have to fight through the Sharknado one more time as the killer storm hits spring breakers and vacationers, hope they kept that chainsaw.

This week, the “feast” may be going on at an amusement park as one of the below casting calls is looking for extras who are OK with amusement park rides and heights to play park patrons.We can expect to see it rain sharks this summer. SyFy’s “Sharknado 3” is set to premiere in July of 2015.

Shooting on “Vortex 3” now starts on Tuesday, February 17th.
Heather Heinz Casting is casting extras for “Vortex 3” (think Jaws meets Twister…for the third time). Made for television film sequel (Horror/Sci-Fi genre)

We are looking for extras who are interested and available for extra work starting Tuesday February 17th through February 25th.

• You do NOT need to work every day.
• Some extras may be able to work more then 1 day.
• We will need various types throughout the duration of filming.
• We will post updates with specific types and dates as needed.

THIS SHOOTS IN ORLANDO. Must work as a local.
RATE: $115. for 12 hour day.
You must be available all day.
