Want To Play a Super Hero? Sony’s “Powers” TV Series is Casting Unique People to Play Elite “Powers” in ATL

By | September 21, 2015

Sony’s edgy superhero TV show “Powers” is filming season 2 in Atlanta and casting talent to put on some awesome “Hunger Games” Capitol type costumes and portray “High Type Powers”.

In the show, “Powers”  is what they call people who have unique, superhero type abilities and the scene will include the “High Powers”.  Casting directors for the show are seeking attractive people with unique faces for a scene they describe as more Hunger Games Capitol than comic book. The scene will film on October 1st in the Atlanta area. Rose Locke Casting is looking for talent of all ethnicities, over the age of 18 that can pull off a great, cool look,  wearing a  beautiful, over the top, costume.

Powers, is a different kind of superhero show / super villain show. The series is set amidst today’s paparazzi culture and asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?

Last spring Sony announced that “Powers”  would be coming back for a second season. Season 1 of the show consisted of 10 episodes  and season 2 will be released in 2016. While  the actual release date is yet to be determined, it will most likely debut around March 2016.  The show airs on the Playstation platform and is the first original scripted series for the new network. “Powers”  is available for free to all Playstation Plus subscribers. The series is based on the graphic novel written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Michael Avon Oeming.
