Westfield Community Players (WCP) will hold auditions for its May, 2016 production, Veronica’s Room, the suspenseful mystery by Ira Levin (author of Rosemary’s Baby). It is being directed by Brian Remo and produced by Jessica Foerst.

Audition dates are Sunday, Jan. 17 from 6-9:00pm and Tues. Jan. 19 from 7-10pm at Westfield Community Players theater, 1000 North Avenue West, Westfield, NJ.

Veronica’s Room is the chilling mystery thriller by the author of Rosemary’s Baby which explores the thin line between fantasy and reality, madness, and murder. Students Susan and Larry find themselves as guests enticed to the Brabissant mansion by it’s dissolute caretakers the lonely Mackeys. Struck by Susan’s strong resemblance to Veronica Brabissant, long-dead daughter of the family for whom they work, the older couple gradually induce her to impersonate Veronica briefly to solace the only living Brabissant, her addled sister who believes Veronica alive. Once dressed in Veronica’s clothes, Susan finds herself locked in the role and locked in Veronica’s room. Or is she Veronica, in 1935, pretending to be an imaginary Susan?

The cast includes 2 males and 2 females: The Woman (Lead): Female – stage age: 35-60 [mentally unstable, rather eccentric ; The Man (Lead): Male – stage age: 35-55 [the loyal charge]; The Girl (Lead): Female – stage age: 20-26 [the innocent one]; The Young Man (Lead): Male – stage age: 22-29 [the pawn]
