Seeking actors in the SF Bay, San Jose area for EVIL FREAKS, A feature-length horror movie. We are making a low budget movie where the emphasis will be on acting and story. Looking for good actors who can be very serious and likeable.
When a bride-to-be performs a séance to communicate with her recently deceased father, she unknowingly unleashes demonic forces that transform her wonderful weekend wedding into a terrifying nightmare.
Characters:
SHEILA: Female, 20s-30s, Caucasian. All body types. She is the Bride in our story. She’s an “all-American” sweet innocent type, the kind of girl you marry and take home to meet mom and dad.
SHELBY: Male, 20s-30s, Black, All body types. He is the Groom in our story, a very well-spoken male nurse with a very suburban upper-crust “all American” sounding voice.
GABE: Male, 20s-30s, Caucasian. All body types. He’s best friends with Shelby and he’s the best man at the wedding.
MARVIN: Male, 50s-60s, Caucasian, All body types. He’s the father of Sheila, the bride-to-be, a soft sensitive loving dad. “All-American” typical suburban dad, very “middle-America”.
MARCY: Female, 50s-60s, Caucasian, All body types. She’s the mother of Sheila, the bride-to-be. “All-American” typical suburban mom, shops at Walmart, goes to bingo and faithfully attends church, very “middle America”.
DARYL: Male, 20s-30s, Caucasian. All body types. He’s the deacon that is good friends with Marcy, the mother of the bride. He’s along for the ride to preside over the wedding ceremony and to enjoy a weekend in the country. He’s been known to break out his guitar and sing joyful songs to cheer people up. He’s slightly effeminate.
TAMMY: Female, 20s-30s, White, All body types. She is a bridesmaid, very “middle-America”, shops at Walmart.
MELINDA: Female, 20s-30s, White, All body types. She is a bridesmaid, very “middle-America”, shops at Walmart.
DEE-DEE: Female, 60s-70s, Black, All body types. She’s a church-going grandmother, but when the “stuff” hits the fan, she transforms into a tough-as-nails survivor.
AURORA: Female, 50s-60s, White, All body types. She’s a racist white hick who owns an antique shop in the middle-of-nowhere. She knows how to use a shot-gun, in fact, she owns a few. She hunts, drives a pickup truck, and she’s incredibly superstitious. She can turn from syrupy sweet to foul-mouthed momma in a split second, but she retains her southern charm.
