CASTING CALL INFORMATION for “Jada’s Journey” – Interactive Dinner Theater Events.
NOW CASTING ACTORS, ACTOR/VOCALISTS, AND VOCALISTS
Read Carefully:
There are 3 DIFFERENT SHOWS & several performances of ea. Show:
1. “The Launch Party” 2. “The Meeting” 3. “About that Video”
We are looking to add to a pool of talent to rotate for these 3 shows.
Non-equity actors only.
Payment: Stipends from profits and most times, dinner after the show.
Show Days and Times: Fridays @ 8pm, Saturdays and Sundays @ 6pm – Call times vary.
Runs of the 3 different shows will be in February thru June. Note: You are NOT EXPECTED to commit to all runs.
Rehearsal and Show Location: dkWard Multi-purpose Center – 22021 Euclid Ave., Euclid, OH 44123
Rehearsals Begin week of January 9th
ACTORS @ 7pm – days vary depending upon show cast.
VOCALISTS – @ 7pm Thursdays
All Cast: Some Saturdays and tech week, mandatory
ACTORS/CHARACTERS:
(Looking for 2-3 people for each character)
Jada (Leading Role) ACTOR/VOCALIST – 5’6”-5’9” – African-American or Mulatto female, strong vocalist, 20-30 years, attractive. Jada is strong and talented but often finds herself struggling to balance her career, faith, and love.
Tracye (Lg. Supporting Role) ACTOR – Open ethnicity female, 20’s-35. Comical, sneaky, opposite Jada.
Brandon (Supporting Role) ACTOR/VOCALIST – African-American or Mulatto male. 5’9”-5’11”, late 20s/early 30’s, very attractive. Brandon is Jada’s smooth talking ex-boyfriend.
Arlington Cader (Supporting Role) ACTOR – African-American male, attractive, 5’9 and over. Smooth, fashionable, good-looking, player type.
Derek – (Supporting role) ACTOR – This “good guy” has a huge crush on Jada but can’t seem to get her attention.
DJ – (Leading role) ACTOR – He hosts karaoke night at the club Jada frequents, more of an MC, energetic, comical
Carolyn – (Supporting role) ACTOR Jada’s older sister. No-nonsense, very concerned about her sister. Spiritual.
VOCALISTS – Looking for many adult singers with amazing voices and/or amazing showmanship for ACT II -“Karaoke at LaRob’s” which equals about ½ of every “Jada’s Journey” show. We will consider very talented kids over 12 years old.
