This is a 3rd year UT MFA thesis film. Everyone working on this project is either a graduate school film student or has experience in the industry. We’ll be shooting with an Alexa camera and are looking for creative talents to join us.
Synopsis:
A vintage porcelain doll, Dolly is one of a kind. After Dad brings her home as a gift for Molly, terrifying supernatural occurrences begin to develop at their apartment.
Character Breakdown
MOLLY (playing age 8-10)
Precocious, spunky, independent, innocent, crafty little girl. She becomes vengeful and jealous of Dolly for getting all the attention from Dad.
DAD (early to mid 30’s)
Molly’s father, a widowed freelance worker struggling with maintaining a household and raises Molly alone doing the best he can. Handsome, straightforward, impulsive, simple-minded. He becomes obsessed with Dolly, and this father-daughter relationship grows apart.
