Robyn Harris – 40s, African-American. Robyn is a devoted mother, hardworking, selfless to a fault. A very logical thinker, her ex-husband’s tendency to prioritize art over earning a steady wage drove her crazy and ultimately led her to divorce him and move her daughter across the country, home to New York. Robyn finds her daughter has learned some of her father’s selfish artistic traits and struggles to enforce discipline on her rebellious daughter while feeling guilty for removing Jazz from her home and father in California. Robyn is starting to get sick of putting the needs of others ahead of her own. She’s hoping this move will mean a fresh start.
