Casting call for TV pilot “The Interestings

Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire director Mike Newell has a new TV series in the works for Amazon. The new show called “The Interestings,” is now filming the pilot in the NYC area and is in need of NYC area background actors to fill some specialty roles. The show’s extras casting directors with GWC in NYC are seeking locals who own some 80s cars and would like to make some extra cash as TV show extras. By the way, the car gets paid to!

The Interestings”  is based on Meg Wolitzer’s bestselling book about a tight group of friends who meet when they are all teens at a camp in the mid 70s. The show follows them over the course of the next 3 decades chronicling the realities of their lives as their youth slips away and middle age crawls in. The new Amazon show is written by Lyn Greene and Richard Levine (Nip / Tuck) and is described by Deadline as a grounded, character-driven drama.

Seeking SAG-AFTRA or NON UNION Male sketch artists for hand double work on the Amazon Pilot, THE INTERESTINGS.

Shoot date is March 14th. Must have full day availability and must be from the tri-state area.

Please note IN DETAIL your experience (be specific). If you could attach drawings you’ve done, that would be very helpful.

Child Photo Double:

SAG-AFTRA or NON UNION girls ages 5-9 years old to photo double on the new Amazon Pilot, The Interestings. Work dates are 3/8-3/10. Filming will be in Brooklyn. Must have valid work permit and trust account. Must have a parent/guardian with them on set at all times. There will be a tutor on set.

Rate is $167 per day. Need full day availability and must be from the tri-state area.

Guitar player hand double:

Seeking NON UNION Men and women who own 1980s cars (1985 and earlier) for work on the Amazon Pilot, THE INTERESTINGS. There will be a fitting on TUESDAY 3/1 and work on WEDNESDAY 3/2. Fitting in Brooklyn, fitting in Manhattan.
