SCAD Student Thesis Short Film
Casting for the short film, “Fishing for Memories” a story about a son who quickly comes to realize the tragedies and compromises of Alzheimer’s disease, as it takes over his own father.
Rehearsal & Production Dates:
April 9-10, 2016
Production: April 22 – April 24 2016.
Times & specific locations to be determined.
Compensation and contract details:
Meals and reel will be provided.
Seeking Talent:
Young Dad (Lead): Male, 40’s, Caucasian.
Ambitious, confident, loyal, military past. Hard on himself, high expectations, angers quickly. Fisherman, problem solver.
Older Ryan (Lead): Male, 40’s, Caucasian.
Charismatic, curious, great imagination. Excitable, unfamiliar with father’s condition. Experienced fisherman, problem solver.
Older Dad (Lead): Male, 70s or older, Caucasian.
Caring, kind, loyal. Depressed, quick to get frustrated, confused and belligerent at times. Experienced fisherman losing abilities.
Store Clerk: Male, 40’s, Caucasian.
Manages the bait and tackle store. Ryan’s high school friend. Enjoys fishing.
