Casting Notice: The Good From the Bad, An outcast combat veteran living amidst the desolation of the South Texas border country finds common ground with an undocumented immigrant fighting for her life on the migrant trail.
This is a non-union short film project for an Independent project for Mobius Films/ TAMUCC Media Production. All roles are non-paid and auditions will be held in Corpus Christi, Texas next week.

Characters:
Araceli (female, early 20s, Latina, accent [northeastern Mexico])
Fleeing the violence and chaos of the Mexico border region and hunted by the tragic death of her family, Araceli is struggling to survive her journey north into the US. If the sweltering heat and unforgiving terrain weren’t enough, now she’s got another problem, the vigilante Ira Hawkins.
Ira (male, late 20s/early 30s)
Living as an outcast in the South Texas border country and damaged by 10 years of war, Ira fights on. Now he’s got a new enemy, the immigrants pouring into the US along the migrant trail. After discovering Araceli on the sweltering plains, Ira finds he’s got more in common with his enemy than he knows.
