Male Actors (who can sing) wanted. Non-Union

Skyship Entertainment is looking for a male non-union actor for a new children’s web series. The series consists of short song-based episodes in which the actor, along with a puppet sidekick, teach classic and original songs to the audience at home.

We’re looking for an actor that can sing (well!), that looks between the ages of 20 and 30, and ideally someone who has experience working with children or working on a children’s series. While not necessary, experience in working alongside a puppet is also valuable, as is the ability to play guitar/ukulele/banjo or other instruments.

The first block is scheduled to shoot September 2016 in Toronto. We’re looking for someone who is able to commit to at least 3 to 4 consecutive weeks of shooting (during normal work hours), plus additional in-studio vocal sessions. The selected actor will also need to be based in or around Toronto until mid-2017 for possible additional shooting blocks.

Please reply with a headshot, CV and links to vocal / acting demos if available to https://skyship.tv/work-with-us/ . Any links to prior work, in particular with children, is appreciated.

This is a fully paid, non-union role.

As this is a Children’s series, potential candidates will be asked to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening police reference check once auditions are completed and we near final decisions. An entry on a record will not automatically prevent a person from obtaining the role.

Payment: Paid

City or Location of call: Toronto
