Synopsis: Boñita and Penelope are companions and professional partners. The two offer euthanasia to the wealthy and sick; the service is illegal. When authorities start to investigate the unusual deaths occurring in the city, Boñita and Penelope must decide how they will remain anonymous and stay afloat.
We will be casting for the following roles:
[BOÑITA (BUNNY)] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 50-75]
Thanatist practicing illegally and robber. Living and work companion to Penguin. Looking to retire from the lifestyle. Boñita is a hobby archivist.
[PENELOPE (PENGUIN)] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 20-30]
Thanatist practicing illegally and robber, a previous medical student in a former more stable society. Bunny’s living and work companion. Focused on capital and the best lifestyle available to them. Penelope is strong-willed and unapologetic.
[BYRON] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 35-55]
Full time free-lance robber. Works mostly on the outskirts of town where he finds Bunny and Penguin. Byron assists them on their “big heist” designed to help Bunny retire. Eventual boyfriend to Bunny; distrusted and perhaps desired by Penguin.
[JOSÉ / SARGENT GERARD] [GENDER: MALE] [AGE: 25-60]
José is a flamboyant costume designer who throws an elaborate celebration on the night of his assisted death procedure.
Sargent Gerard is an authority figure. We hear his police radio throughout the performance and he appears in the final scene.
[HILDA / CAPTAIN HILLARY] [GENDER: FEMALE] [AGE: 25-60]
Hilda is the sister of José. She is the organizer of José’s lavish farewell party.
Captain Hillary is an authority figure. We hear her police radio throughout the performance and she appears in the final scene.
