ENTERTAINMENT AUDITIONS for CALIFORNIA’S GREAT AMERICA
Many exciting performance and technical opportunities for our upcoming 2016 Entertainment Season. We have a wide range of theater positions including children’s show hosts, musical theater and pop singers, dancers (modern, jazz & hip hop styles), costume characters, theater and event technicians, scenic artists, costumers and dressers, theater attendants, and stage management. Auditions
Children’s Show Hosts – We are casting show hosts for a variety of family show products, including our Peanuts themed children’s show. Please prepare a humorous, family-oriented monologue of no longer than 2 minutes in length that displays your personality, comedic ability, and confidence on stage. If you sing, please come prepared to also audition as a singer. You may be asked to dance, so bring appropriate clothes and shoes for movement. Please bring a current photo and a one-page resume.
Musical Theater & Pop Singers – We are casting singers for a guest interactive karaoke show featuring pop music and a Musical-themed song and dance show with various hits! Prepare two up-tempo songs in a pop and/or musical-theater style. An accompanist will be provided. Bring sheet music in the proper key or prerecorded instrumental tracks (without lead vocals) on CD. A cappella is not recommended. Cassettes will not be accommodated. You may be asked to read a brief monologue and to dance, so bring appropriate clothes and shoes for movement. Please bring a current photo and a one-page resume.
Dancers (Modern, Jazz & Hip Hop Styles) – We are looking for energetic, technically trained dancers for an all new high energy dance show displaying different styles of dance from Jazz to Modern to Hip Hop. You will be taught a combination during the audition. Please come prepared in comfortable and appropriate clothing and shoes. If you are interested in any of the other shows please arrive at the host / singer call time. Please bring a current photo and a one-page resume.
Costume Characters – We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to portray Snoopy and the Peanuts Characters! You must be 4’7” – 5’4”. Dance and acting experience is an asset, but is not required. You will be interviewed and will be asked to dance, so bring appropriate clothes and shoes for movement.

Interviews
Theater Attendants – Applicants wishing to be considered for a Theatre Attendant/Usher position in one of our theatre venues including concerts in the Redwood Amphitheatre. Be prepared for an interview. Both part time seasonal and full time seasonal opportunities exist.
Theater & Event Technicians – We are looking for technicians for a variety of shows and theatres including indoor, outdoor, and concert venues, along with special event crews and Halloween Haunt technical build and support. Interviews will be conducted for experienced sound operators, lighting operators, follow spot operators, theatrical carpenters and stage positions. Both part time seasonal and full time seasonal opportunities exist. Please bring a one-page resume.
Scenic Artists and Sculptors – We are looking for creative artists for our Halloween Haunt event that can work under strict deadline in a fast-paced environment. Please email resume and examples of work in a theatrical environment to Clayton Lawrence: Clayton.lawrence@cagreatamerica.com.
Costumers & Dressers – We are looking for costumers and dressers for a variety of shows and products. Interviews will be conducted for experienced costumers to build and dress our shows, and maintain our costume characters. Costume construction experience is an asset, but not required. Positions also build costumes and props for our Halloween Haunt event. Both part time seasonal and full time seasonal opportunities exist. Please bring a one-page resume.
