Casting Call Out for “Black Panther” Movie, Extras and Kids

Marvel’s “Black Panther” is planning for production in the Atlanta area and casting for extras to work in January 2017.

Atlanta’s Tammy Smith Casting is looking for African extras of all ages (2 through 90) as well as kids of all ethnicities.  The movie is looking to cast extras that are Nigerian, Kenyan, Ethiopian, etc. “Black Panther” will not begin production in the Atlanta area until January 2017, however, the casting team is trying to get a jump start on casting some of the roles already. Couples and families are asked to submit together. While filming is still many months away, these particular roles will be getting picked by the director and the casting team is hoping to be able to present talent to him this coming week.

Black Panther is getting his own movie. The character was introduced in the last “Captain America” film as one of the participants in the Avenger’s Civil War. According to Cinemablend, Marvel promises an entirely new adventure, set is another country and introducing fans to an entirely new culture. What we do know about the plot is that it will be political focusing on T’Challa’s challenges as the king of Wakanda.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige commented that the new addition to the Marvel Universe films will provide audiences a “whole new setting and culture to explore” through Wakanda, while also connecting to the upcoming Avengers movies.”  Feige also added “It’s a big geo-political action adventure that focuses on the family and royal struggle of T’Challa in Wakanda, and what is means to be a king. T’Challa’s story is very important to us as it links to the next Avengers films, which is why we brought it forward.”

The IMDB page for “Black Panther” has the following description… T’Challa, the new ruler of the advanced kingdom of Wakanda, must defend his land from being torn apart by enemies from outside and inside the country. Chadwick Boseman will be playing T’Challa / Black Panther. Also cast in the film are Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o. Ryan Coogler will be directing and as of now “Black Panther” is set to hit movie theaters in February 2018.

Please note that you must live in the Atlanta area and completely fit the description below in order to be considered. These are the only roles they are taking submissions for at this time and more roles will most likely be released closer to the production date.
