Toronto Canada casting directors at Jigsaw Casting are on the lookout for a male teen boy, ages 13 to 14, that has some serious basketball skills.
The role is for an upcoming major commercial campaign and the teen cast for the role will be paid $1500 for the shoot. Teen must be at least 13 years old. Due to legal, employment related reasons, the casting directors are only able to cast boys over 13. Boy does not need to be particularly athletic looking and may be on the shorter or taller side. However, he does need to have some skills, enough skills to surprise those watching.
This spot is only looking for “real” teens on this, in the Greater Toronto area and will require an in person audition in Toronto this week. The production is not looking for actors who will pretend to play basketball. They are seeking non-actors who really play the game.
Auditions will be held by appointment only and those wishing to submit their teens must follow the instructions below to get their photos, videos and contact info to the casting directors ASAP.

Roles:
Teen Basket Ball Player: Male, open ethnicity, 13 – 14 years old. We are looking for a teen with basketball skills. Ideally, he is not a particularly athletic looking guy, maybe a little on the shorter or smaller side. We want to feel surprised when shown what he can do! *Legally must be at least 13 years of age at time of shoot.
Pays approximately $1500 if selected

- Your name, age & brief bio about your Basketball skills. What are you known for? (IE: Dunking, Shooting, Jumping, Tricks, etc)
- Photo(s) of yourself (Where we can clearly see your face – No hats or sunglasses).
- Ideally include a short video of you playing basketball or showing off your skills. The video does not have to be professional; you can shoot it using a smart phone. Please submit your video via a link (i.e. YouTube or Dropbox).
- Your primary contact information (phone number & email address) *If you are a represented actor, please include your union status, resume & your agent’s contact information
- Please write ‘PROJECT BASKETBALL’ in subject line of e-mail, along with your name and age. (E.G. PROJECT BASKETBALL – John Smith- age 13)
Submissions are due by: Friday June 17th @ 9AM
You must be available for these key dates:
AUDITION: Friday June 17th, 2016 (after school)
CALL BACK: Tuesday June 21st, 2016 (after school)
WARDROBE: Friday June 24th, 2016
SHOOT: June 28, 29, 30 (One to Two days of)
