Casting for “A Good Woman”

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Type: Student Films

Fire Escape Films is a long-running student organization at The University of Chicago. We are currently beginning casting for our winter semester films.

Plot Synopsis: The story of Penny, a young mother, as she tries to save herself and her daughter from the horrors of life with an abusive husband.

LOOKING TO CAST-

Penny: Young wife/mother; a little shy, anxious, proves to be ultimately quite steadfast in her choices. Incredibly loving. (Late 20s/early 30s)

John: Young husband/father; brutish, threatening, manipulative, sinister (Late 20s/early 30s)

Maisie: Young child (female); spunky; childish, yet still intuitive for her age (Preferably 6/7 yr old adolescent. Older children may submit, HOWEVER, you must at least be able to pass for a younger age)

*Shooting will take place over about 7 weekends, starting in mid January.

Audition Dates: TBH (look for the first and second week of January 2017)
