Non-Union. “Missing” is a student short film (San Francisco State University). It is a coming-of-age story of a boy who tries to replace a broken bowl before his parents find out. As his quest continues, he ends up discovering that something much more important is shattered in his family.
Lucas, the lead boy, is a mischievous 9-year-old (caucasian), a bit of an outsider. He loves his parents but often feels abandoned by them. He is pretty adventurous and often gets in trouble. Think “Stranger things,” “The 400 Blows” or early Lynne Ramsey films.
