Casting director for the Netflix series (previously A&E series) “Longmire,” Robert Baxter, is seeking a tall Native American male to fill a featured role
The show’s original home, A&E had cancelled the show after season 3, after which it was picked up by Netflix after a good amount of fan protest about the cancellation. Yes, the show found a new home on Netflix. Deadline reported that the cancellation triggered one of the biggest outpourings of fan support ever for an axed TV series. The cast members, led by Robert Taylor and Katee Sackhoff, have all made their deals for Season 4 with Netflix. Now, there were more rumors that the show would be cancelled, again, but those rumors may be put to rest as the series is now filming season 5.
The series is based on the “Walt Longmire Mysteries” books which were written by Craig Johnson. “Longmire” stars Robert Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Bailey Chase, Adam Bartley, Cassidy Freeman, and Lou Diamond Phillips.
The show is a crime drama set in a largely rural area of Wyoming. The show premiered in 2012 on A&E and moved to Netflix last year. Rumor has it that season 5 of the show will premiere on Netflix in the fall of 2016.
