Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was a huge hit for the studio and part 2 is now in production.
“Guardians of the Galaxy 2” is beginning production in the Atlanta area and has a new casting call out for attractive ladies with fashion model height. Tammy Smith Casting, the extras casting director on the project has a call out for Caucasian ladies, ages 18 to 55 who are 5’7 to 6’2 in height…. Being a blonde is also a plus. Talent cast for the roles will be working in mid to late February between the 18th and 27th (see below for exact dates.)
The sequel will bring back the intergalactic crew of misfits AKA The Guardians of the Galaxy as well as a few new faces. Chris Pratt returns in the sequel as Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper returns as the voice of Rocket Raccoon, Vin Diesel voices Groot or at least, the 3 words in Groot’s vocabulary and Dave Bautista plays Drax The Destroyer.
Also starring in the Guardians sequel is Kurt Russell, Benicio Del Toro resumes his role as The Collector, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Sean Gunn as Kraglin and Pom Klementieff will play Mantis.
Marvel has been keeping the storyline under wraps and not much information has been released about the sequel, but from this call and other Guardians of the Galaxy casting calls …. their travels may be taking the group to planet Top Model. This is one of a series of calls that has come out looking for model types in the Atlanta area.
James Gunn is directing the sequel which, according to the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 IMDB page, is set to hit theaters on May 5th 2017.
