HBO’s new comedy series “Divorce” is filming season 1 in NYC and casting paid TV extras.
Sarah Jessica Parker is coming back to TV in the new HBO comedy titled “Divorce“. The Sex & the City star is filming her newest show in the New York City area and the show’s CDs are looking for girls ages 9 to 13 who play basketball. Also, the show needs men in the area to fill small roles in a scene that will be filming shortly.
Sarah Jessica Parker plays Frances, a woman who after a not so great marriage, is looking to make a clean break and a fresh start. After reassessing her life and choices she comes to the realization that making a clean break may not be as easy as she thought it would be.
This show will be Parker’s first major TV gig since her “Sex and the City” days about a decade ago. Last spring, THR reported that HBO has made a series order for the comedy. “Divorce” is written by Irish writer-actress Sharon Horgan (ABC’s “Bad Management” and “Pulling”). Sarah Jessica Parker will not only star in the new HBO series, she is also set to executive produces through her Pretty Matches Productions company. Also producing are Aaron Kaplan, Paul Simms (Girls, Bored to Death, Flight of the Conchords) and Alison Benson.
