Tryout to be an NFL cheerleader.
After many years, the Los Angeles Rams are returning to L.A. and the team is hosting cheerleader auditions this spring.
NFL cheerleader tryouts are finally being held in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles dancers have an opportunity to tryout to be an L.A. Rams cheerleader. The team will be holding a series of pre-audition workshops this month to help dancers prepare for the Rams cheerleader tryouts coming up in April. Ladies chosen to be part of the NFL cheer squad will perform at upcoming L.A. Rams football games and events. The team announced that it will be heading back to Los Angeles and will be playing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for the 2016 / 2017 football season.
The team commented, “We are seeking professional, glamorous, talented candidates to be part of our return to Los Angeles. Our Cheerleaders will represent the Rams organization not only on the field, but also throughout the community, nationally and abroad.”
The Los Angeles Rams football team is inviting dancers and cheerleaders to attend optional workshops in March and preliminary auditions will follow next month, April 2016. The final auditions take place on April 17 at the Forum. Ladies who make the squad must be prepared for a very full schedule of performances, appearances and community service. That’s right, the L.A. Rams cheerleaders will be expected to contribute to the community and the team says those ladies making the team will be expected to put in 1200 hours in community service through the year.
The workshops will be held at 24 Hour Fitness Clubs in Woodland Hills on March 20, in Hollywood on March 24, and in San Bernardino on March 26. While the workshops are on a voluntary basis, they will allow prospective cheerleaders and dancers to learn more about the team, time commitments required and what will be expected in the upcoming open auditions.
Please note that the workshops are on a first come first served basis, cheerleaders will be required to register days prior to the event and there will be a workshop fee of $40 that must be paid prior to the event.
The first round of cheer auditions will be held at USC’s Galen Center on April 2nd and 3rd, 2016. All dancers wishing to attend must register by March 31st.
The auditions will be held in rounds with preliminary auditions on the 2nd, a second round on the 5th and finals will be held on the 17th. Each round will be cutting dancers and those who make the cut will be invited to the finals at the Forum. The final auditions will be open to the public and tickets for the event are being sold. Dancers and cheerleaders, or those looking to become cheerleaders can find more information about the upcoming auditions on the teams page.
The Rams football team was established in 1968 and has a rich history of memorable home game performances in the Los Angeles Coliseum. Away from the field, the team participates in over 1,500 hours of community service per year and squad members are featured in the annual Rams Cheerleading Swimsuit Calendar and Rams Cheer Poster.
