Casting directors for an upcoming movie are searching for a severely obese Latino actor to play the role of Christopher Rios, AKA “Big Pun”
This is a nationwide talent search and actors who fit the physical description are invited to send in their photos, resumes and contact information in order to be considered. The movie will be filming in the Los Angeles area later this year and all travel costs will be paid for actors that do not live in Los Angeles. This is a paid role and the actor cast for the role will make $5000 for the 5 day shoot.
Rapping and singing ability is not required for the role, however, the actor chosen must be able to lip sync. Actors applying must resemble “Big Pun” and fit the physical description. Actors interested need to send in their photos, reels and resumes ASAP to be considered for an online / Skype audition.
Big Pun was a Latino rapper / hip-hop music artist that was severely overweight. Christopher Rios, known as “Big Punisher” or “Big Pun” was rumored to weigh close to 700 lbs. at his heaviest. His album Capital Punishment went to No. 1 on the R&B/hip-hop charts and he became the first Latino rapper to go platinum. In 2000, Big Pun died from complications of his obesity.

Seeking male actor 18-40 years old to portray Christopher Rios “Big Pun.” Must be around 5’2″ and resemble Rios in looks and physical build. Please note that Rios was severely overweight, and we are seeking actors who are also severely overweight.
No singing/rapping required (lip-syncing ONLY), but must be able to mimic/imitate Rios’ mannerisms and gestures. Impersonation of Rios’ speaking voice preferred if possible.
