Marvel’s new “Avengers” movie, “Avengers: Infinity War” part 1 & 2 casting in Atlanta.
If you live in the Atlanta area, you have a chance to land a small role in a Marvelous movie. Marvel Studios will be filming the next 2 “Avengers” movies in the Atlanta area and will be holding open cast calls for locals who would love to tryout for a small, non-speaking, paid role. Central Casting of Georgia will be holding 2 open calls at Atlanta’s Pinewood Studios in the second week of December. Locals who would love a chance to work as an extra on set can stop by to meet with casting directors. No prior appointments are necessary and pictures will be taken on site.
“Avengers: Infinity War” is rumored to be a 2 part film that will make up the 3rd and 4th installment of Marvel’s comic book based movie series. Both films currently have May release dates with “Infinity War Part 1” due out in May of 2018 and “Avengers: Infinity War Part 2” following in 2019. “Avengers 3” and “Avengers 4” will apparently be filming back to back at Pinewood Studios and there are many opportunities for those that would like to be cast in a small, extras, role.
The new “Avengers” flick is said to be centered around the comic’s “Infinity Gems” storyline. In the Comic version of the story, Thanos the Mad Titan, assembles all six “Infinity Gems” which gives him ultimate power over Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality and Power. Once Thanos gets the power he was looking for, he heads out on a mission to destroy pretty much everything.
Josh Brolin has been cast to play the new villain, Thanos. Also returning to “Avengers 3” are Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch). Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johannson and Samuel L. Jackson are also expected to reprise their roles.
The movie will be beginning production in Georgia in January of 2017 and will be filming for most of 2017. While it seems production may still be some time away, casting directors for “The Avengers” are looking to get a jump start on casting as talent will be hand picked by the director for many small roles.
AVENGERS OPEN CALLS
Want to work as as a Stand-In, Photo Double or Background Actor on the next installment of Marvel’s “Avengers”? We are now beginning to cast positions for this feature that begins filming in January through all of 2017! Pictures are now being submitted from our database.
The only way to work on this movie is by being registered with Central Casting in Georgia (we do not utilize outside casting databases/websites)! It is absolutely FREE to do! If you registered in our office or at a previous open call in 2016, you are good to go and do not need to do so again.
In addition to the daily registrations in our office (info on those below), we are holding 2 open calls at PINEWOOD STUDIOS to register:
– Saturday, December 10th – 11am-4pm
– Sunday, December 11th – 11am-4pm
– Arrive anytime between the scheduled hours and expect it to take approximately 1 hour
– Be prepared to complete employment paperwork and basic info sheet for your database profile
– WE WILL BE TAKING YOUR PICTURE! Dress in whatever manner best represents you.
