Casting fantasy/dark comedy short film

I’m a digital filmmaker and editor living in San Francisco, and I’m looking to enlist some young actors for an upcoming project: it’s a short, comedic film set in a high school, where some nerdy students are being hassled by football players. The story then takes an unexpected, sci-fi/fantasy twist. The shoot will likely take only two 6-hour days, and we’re tentatively planning to film on February 11 and 12, a Saturday and Sunday.
We’re looking for young men and women who can pass as high schoolers, but no younger than 18. We are casting lead roles, supporting roles, and extras, and I want to try and make sure every part has an understudy. Please reach out right away: I will be holding auditions throughout December, and I want the cast set by January 1.
The money to fund this production was raised through a successful Indiegogo campaign; we have almost all of the equipment, costumes, and locations paid for. However, we’re not planning on making a profit with this production, and most of the roles are unpaid; we will offer a daily stipend for parking, etc., in addition to free food and beverage on set, and we are willing to pay more if we can find great actors for the lead roles.
When we’re all finished, we hope to enter the movie in some film festivals, and eventually post it online. Thanks so much for your interest, and I hope to hear from you soon!
