“Last Laugh” is a short film set in the early 20th century, taking place in an old, wooden cabin in rural Georgia. The story follows a conflict that has arisen between two childhood friends, one hell-bent on revenge, and the other simply trying to walk away from this fight with his life. So, they decide upon a game of chance to decide their fate. But fate doesn’t always play by the rules.

Roles:
HUNTER [GENDER: MALE, Southern Dialect, Caucasian] [AGE: 25-35]
HUNTER is an arrogant middle-aged man convinced his best friend has wronged him. He is erratic, egotistical, and an alcoholic. He blames others for his problems and he believes he is neither responsible for his actions nor in control of his behavior.
BUCK [GENDER: MALE, Southern Dialect, Caucasian] [AGE: 25-35]
BUCK is calm and reasonable, though he is often blinded by his overconfidence. He understands that he has caused his friend much grief; he decides to confront his friend so that they may work out their differences. He believes that logic and his own brand of luck will get him out any uncomfortable situation.
