Mezzo, a contemporary, New York-based female a cappella group, is holding auditions for all voice parts and vocal percussionists. Previous a cappella experience required, and all potential auditionees should be free for callbacks on September 26 and 29.
Founded in 2014, Mezzo’s ladies perform all around the city including venues like The Shrine, Lovecraft, the Parkside Lounge, Sidewalk Cafe, and others. We intend to continue booking gigs and performing, as well as honing a rich, layered sound that pushes the limits of a female a cappella group. Pop, rock, doo-wop and classic melodies are all our jam! We rehearse once a week in Midtown, with additional rehearsals as necessary when gigs approach.
