Extras casting for “Transformers 5” announced in Detroit, Michigan.
Michael Bay is doing another Transformers movie. “Transformers 5” is now in production in the Detroit area and the movie has a casting call out for locals who would love to work as paid extras in the next installment of Paramount’s “Transformers” movie series.
The casting call was announced via the Detroit’s CBS 2 website. The movie will be filming in Detroit all through the summer and is now accepting submissions. “Transformers 5” has been filming in other locations, most recently in Arizona, and has now moved production to Detroit. Previous “Transformers” films filmed in the Motor City as well. Casting directors for the project are looking for adults, 18+, who have flexibility in their schedules and are able to work one set a day or 2 in the next few months. At the moment they are not seeking any kid’s submissions but they may be able to use a few teens ages 16 to 18 as well.
“Transformers 5” is being called “Transformers: The Last Knight” and the upcoming film will be a sequel to “Transformers 4.” The last “Transformers” flick got rid of Shia and cast Mark Wahlberg for the lead role. Mark Wahlberg is back for “Transformers 5” and he is being joined by Isabella Monec (Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life). Josh Duhamel will reprise his role as Lt. Colonel William Lennox. Jerrod Carmichael, Anthony Hopkins, Mitch Pileggi and Laura Haddock are also part of the new cast.
The “Transformers” series of movies is based on Hasbro’s line of Transformers toys and is a mix of CG effects and live action. According to the film’s IMDB page, the upcoming film is being produced by Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Akiva Goldsman. As for the movie’s plot…. that information has been kept under wraps.
Paramount has set a release date for “Transformers: The Last Knight.” IMDB currently reports June 23, 2017 as the movies official which puts ‘Transformers 5″ in competition with other expected blockbusters that month such as “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” “The Divergent Series: Ascendant” and “Despicable Me 3.”
Extras for “Transformers 5” filming in Detroit
CBS 2 Detroit talked to the project’s extras casting director who mentioned that “We’re trying to hire as many local people in every capacity that we can,” “Michael Bay loves Detroit and loves the iconic landmarks and the architecture.“
Please note that these are extras roles and talent applying must be local to the Detroit area as no travel costs would be covered and extras generally make around minimum wage. Those interested may email their submissions to transformers5extras@gmail.com.
To be considered to work as a paid movie extra on “Transformers 5,” talent must send in a recent photo of themselves (a snapshot will do), their stats (height, weight, etc.), their availability for the next 2 months and their contact information.
