History’s “Vikings” is beginning production of season 5 and will be needing tons of background actors for those epic battles we know are coming.
The show is holding open casting calls for adults next week and has now released casting information for kids as well. Kids (minors) under the age of 16 will not be allowed at the upcoming casting calls but they are accepting submissions through the mail. The casting directors have created a form just for minors which parents will need to fill out and send in ASAP.
History Channel has renewed “Vikings” for another season which will premiere in 2017. Season 4 of “Vikings” got expanded for a 20 episode season and season 5 of “Vikings” will be doing the same. The network has ordered 20 episodes for the period drama and begins filming in Ireland, around Dublin & Wicklow shortly. While we know that the 5th season may be losing a few major cast members, the show has setup a great addition to the “Vikings” cast. Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors) has joined the Season 5 cast. Details of his role are being kept under wraps for now. The visually stunning series is created by Michael Hirst (The Tudors). “Vikings” is set in the dark ages and tells the story of Ragnar Lothbrok and his family as they explore and pillage through Europe.
The show does film in the Dublin Ireland area and is only considering talent that is local to the Dublin or Wicklow areas and are able to legally work in Ireland.

There will be 3x Extras Open Casting days in 2016 – 2x days will be held in Dublin and 1x day will be held in Wicklow. To apply, people should come along to one of our open casting days.
