“The Walking Dead” Cast Call for fan show, “Talking Dead”
Do you love “The Walking Dead“? Are you a “Walking Dead” super fan that would love to preview the show before everyone else? If so, here is a chance to come watch the show discussed live with the show’s stars and producers. “The Walking Dead” season 7 is about to premiere which means “Talking Dead” is coming back too.
New episodes of ‘The Walking Dead” return this week and fans will finally get to find out which cast member we have lost. The 6th season’s finale ended with a huge cliffhanger which promised a major character’s death at the hand of newly introduced villain, Negan and his pet bat, Lucille. The show has been very careful to not let the cat out of the bag and even the season 7 previews and teasers do not show any of the cast members in question, rather, the season 7 teaser showcases characters who have yet to be introduced. For months now, speculation about who Negan killed has been all over the internet. Comment sections of fan sites and forums went nuts, some angry fans even swore off the show. Reddit saw threads promising a boycott and there were even petitions created to force show creators to spill the beans…. None of that worked.
Even before the season 6 finale, speculation was rising as spoilers revealed that someone would die. “The Walking Dead” may or may not follow its comic book’s lead. Comic readers know that it may be Glenn on the receiving end Lucille, Negan’s barbed wire wrapped bat, however, show-runner Scott Gimple noted that the series will have “hard left turns” in Glenn’s plot.
Steven Yeun, the actor who plays Glenn also commented… “I know people are going to always go, ‘Negan kills Glenn in the comics,’ but rest assured that we don’t necessarily do what’s in the comics.” If not Glenn, then who? We still do not know for sure who the victim was and the info is coming this week.
Talking Dead Casting:
“The Walking Dead” after show, “The Talking Dead” is now filming in the Los Angeles area and looking for some hard core fans to join them, live, in the studio. Each episode of “The Talking Dead” has 50 fans participate and pre-screen the new episode of “The Walking Dead” before it actually airs. The show films every week so fans who do not get into one episode, have more tries left to get cast in another.
Chris Hardwick (@ Midnight) hosts the AMC 1/2 hour talk / interview show that follows immediately after new episodes of “The Walking Dead“. Chris Hardwick is joined on stage each week by Walking Dead stars, producers and writers to comment and dissect the latest episode.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR…
50 diehard Walking Dead fans to participate in the live after-show Talking Dead. And, you will pre-screen the Walking Dead episode prior to the live show.
SHOW DESCRIPTION
Talking Dead features Hardwick talking to fans, actors, producers and TV enthusiasts, recapping the most recent Dead episode and taking questions and comments from viewers.
“As an enormous fan of both The Walking Dead comic and television show, I pretty much begged for this job,” Hardwick said. “Dissecting the moves of Rick Grimes and the remaining survivors after every episode is something I would be doing with my friends anyway, so the fact that AMC is actually paying me to do so is a bonus.”
To get tickets for the show, see this page. There is no pay for those cast to participate in the show but tickets for the “Talking Dead” are free.
The show films in Los Angeles and those attending will need to be able to get to the studio. The show films every Sunday when a new episode airs. You must be over the age of 18 to be considered and will need government issued ID in order to get in the door.
