Kyle Lambert: Down on his luck and disheveled, Kyle is getting over a bad breakup and is severely depressed. In walks Emily and he puts on bravado in an attempt to win her over and “fix” himself.
Emily Marretti: Emily was an acting student who has left school and is coming back to Chicago. She’s figuring out what to do next. She’s smart, quick as a whip.
Linda McQuillan: Linda is a bartender after failing or growing bored of everything else. Kyle and Emily’s high school friend, she has become Kyle’s impromptu caretaker, much to her chagrin. One could draw comparisons to Chandler Bing, but they would then invoke her wrath.
