Open Auditions in NYC for Singers to Join “Crosstown Vocal” A Cappella Singing Group

By | May 23, 2017

Seeking talented singers and vocal percussionists to join “Crosstown Vocal,” an established NYC-based contemporary co-ed a cappella group.

Location: New York, NY

Type: Musicians

Over the past few years, we’ve been featured at the NY Public Library’s Holiday Gala, performed live on WNYC at Lincoln Center, sang the National Anthem for the Mets at Citi Field, and competed in the Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival. We perform with other local groups at venues around the city, most recently selling out a show at the Duplex in the West Village for the second year in a row there.

This group has a strong foundation and a lot of talent, and we are looking for a few more members to round out the roster. We are especially seeking dedicated vocal percussionists and basses but are also hoping to add a few other voice parts to the mix. We are looking for musicians who are willing and able to commit to a regular practice schedule, who can learn fast, and who like to have fun.”

You can submit by emailing crosstownvocal@gmail.com. Auditions will be held in the evening of June 7, with June 14 being a potential spillover date for more auditions. Callbacks will be held the evening of June 21. In your submission, please note your availability for the audition days. Include a video or audio clip, if available (informal cell phone recordings are completely acceptable). Prior a cappella experience preferred, but not required. Priority consideration will be given to vocal percussionists and basses, but casting personnel are also looking to add a few other exceptional voices to the group.
