Some Swedish Trees is currently seeking submissions for Scenes from the perch by J Rodriguez-Jackson.
In 1992 Richard Linklater released his portrait of the Austin, Tx milieu, following the unmoored, the radicals, the weirdos of the fringe and memorializing a unique time and place. This experiment was an original project for the rapidly developing American independent cinema scene, but has many precursors, Jacques Rivette’s Out 1 being the most obvious.
Our aim is to transcribe the energy of today’s Chicago intelligencia onto (digital) celluloid. Scenes from the perch unfolds in and around Logan Sq. over the course of a day, recording the metaphysical exploration, pseudo-intellectual ennui, and spiritual enlightenment/desolation of a growing class of artists/thinkers/musicians/writers.
Seeking: Actors and actresses, 20s-40s, of all genders/races/ethnicities.
Time Commitment:
Will require 1-2 days of filming from Nov. 1 – Nov. 11th. Time commitment is very flexible.

Bring a headshot and resume if possible. No prepared monologues required. Sides will be provided upon arrival for cold readings during audition.
