Casting Call for Scene from “Lost In Translation”
Austin, Texas.
An in-person performance of a scene from the classic film “Lost in Translation.” Have you ever imagined yourself taking the place of Bill Murray or Scarlett Johansson? Make that dream a reality — come be a part of a new take on a close, emotional scene.
I’m a UT Radio-TV-Film student, reproducing a scene from the film as an exercise for class. The scene will not be recorded, only performed once. It will be a short presentation, and a great opportunity to get exposure to a group of talented young filmmakers that work in the Austin area.
Needed:
1 Male (Late 20s – 40s), any ethnicity – A mentor that might have all the answers.
1 Female (20s – 30s), any ethnicity – A young, unsure wife trying to find where her true passion and talent lies.
Commitment:
3-4 Rehearsals: TBD throughout February, according to cast availability
In Class Scene Work: Wednesday, February 22, evening between 6PM and 9PM
All will occur on the UT Austin campus.
Compensation: Snacks and endless gratitude
