We are creating this in association with the Tribeca Film Institute, as part of the Tribeca Film Fellows program.
The film follows David, a queer, introverted teen possessing a shapeshifting heart struggles to communicate past the language barrier between him and his father, a first generation Korean American taxi driver.
This is a non-paid acting job looking for non-union actors. Meals will be provided along with transportation costs. This is an opportunity to be in a film screened at the Tribeca Film Festival. An official audition will be determined in the near future. Production will take place in October/November 2017, primarily filming on the weekends for at most 5 days.

CASTING:
David – A 15-19 year old East Asian (preferably Korean) teen who is fluent in English but struggles in Korean. He is closeted, and he struggles to be a masculine figure. He’s not exactly the most fit, and this character is sensitive and somewhat comical.
Appa – A 40-60 year old East Asian (preferably Korean) man who must be fluent in Korean and understand English. He must also be able to drive. He is the headstrong patriarch of the family who holds onto some conservative ways.
