Los Angeles based internationally exhibiting artist collective is looking for a diverse group of people to perform in a 1 or 2 evening outdoor public art project. Produced by Black Cube, this live concert/performance will be subsequently shown as a video installation at Vicki Myhren Gallery on DU’s campus opening Sept 14.

Requirements:
No particular CV or performance history is needed. We’re looking for people with focus, endurance, commitment and a positive attitude, who are reliable and show up on time, adaptable and good at receiving feedback. If you are afraid of heights this is probably not a good fit for you. All age groups, body types, looks, and ethnicities welcome.
You will need to perform a repetitive simple task for 2 hours without getting distracted by audience members or breaking focus. Performers will be safely standing on scaffolding platforms 10-30 ft off the ground, and will likely get wet. Tasks include: Wiping a windshield with a squeegee, brushing teeth and spitting, watering plants, floating in a kiddie pool, doing exercises & crying into a facial steamer.

Preliminary Rehearsal
Dress Rehearsal
Performance 1 – Sept 9, 8-11pm
Performance 2 (pending funding, or rain date) – Sept 10, 8-11pm
Honorarium:
Performers will receive $150 honorarium
