Evita is an epic rock-opera that details the rise and fall of Argentine political leader, Eva Perón. It includes musical theater classics, “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina”, “And the Money Kept Rolling In (And Out)”, and “Another Suitcase in Another Hall”, among many others.
Taking on the feel of an actor’s workshop, this intimate production of Evita will embrace each cast member’s unique skills and strengths in order to collectively tell the human story of one larger-than-life woman.
Fiercely political. Wildly unconventional. Ever relevant.

Rehearsal Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 6-9PM, Sundays 5-8PM
(Actors will not be needed at all rehearsals; Schedule is flexible)

Location: Flanagan Theater, Southgate at Shrewsbury, 30 Julio Drive, Shrewsbury, MA

Audition Dates: Thursday, May 18th 6-9PM & Sunday, May 21st 5-8PM
Actors need only attend one evening; Actors will be seen in order of arrival
Prepare: 2 contrasting song selections showcasing musical and dramatic range, approximately 32 bars/1 minute each, in the style of the show
Callbacks: Monday, May 22nd 6-9PM

Trained powerhouse vocalists to play featured roles/soloists and sing legit 6-part harmony
Featured dancers (2-4) with training in any discipline (ballroom a plus)
Ability to play an instrument a plus but not necessary; other special skills encouraged but not necessary.
