SEEKING 2 FEMALE ACTORS & 1 MALE ACTOR: Black/African descent, looks 25-40 years old, for play reading at the DC Black Theatre & Arts Festival 2017, New Works Reading Series
DETAILS: 1 Female Actor will be casted to read for Ensemble Actor 5, 1 Male Actor and 1 Female Actor will be understudies and be prepared to read if an actor is late or absent on the day of the reading, ensemble play, actors read for multiple characters, males who are able to speak with West African accent are preferred.
REHEARSAL TIMES/LOCATION: Saturday July 24, 2017 1pm-4pm
PRODUCTION: Call time of 1pm, reading begins at 2pm.
SYNOPSIS: A coming of age story about a Brooklyn girl’s search for self, love and acceptance. More than a dozen characters are portrayed as Tenneh recounts experiences from various stages of her life. Each memory, whether comical or tragic, contributes to the intricate patchwork of her womanhood.
