Movie casting in Charlotte North Carolina.
Bart Layton’s new film, “American Animals,” is about to begin production in North Carolina in a few weeks and now casting.
“American Animals” will be filming in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas beginning in February 2017. Extras casting directors for the film with Tona, B. Dahlquist Casting of NC are now accepting submissions from area locals who would like to land a small, paid role in the movie as an extra, featured extra, stand-in or photo double. The project is casting for talent of all ages, all ethnicities and all types to fill numerous small roles.
“American Horror Story” actor, Evan Peters is set to star in “American Animals,” a movie described as a heist film. Evan Peters is also known for his X-Men role of Quicksilver. Other film credits for Evan Peters include “Elvis and Nixon” and “Kick-Ass.”
“American Animals” is based on a true story about four young male adults who attempted something out of a movie and tried to pull off one of the craziest heists in American history. According to a Deadlione story, the film is described as “a wild story of money, movies and the search for meaning.” The project is written and will be directed by Bart Layton.
“American Animals” will be produced by UK based Raw productions and is being financed by Film4 and AI Film. The indie film is being produced by Katherine Butler and Dimitri Doganis through Doganis and Layton’s Raw. Also producing the project are Derrin Schlesinger and Mary Jane Skalski. Deadline also reports that AI Film’s Blavatnik and Aviv Giladi will exec produce with David Kosse, Film4’s Sam Lavender and Daniel Battsek and Lava Bear Films’ Tory Metzger.
