Story line: A witty, dramatic comedy centering around two teenagers who must learn to settle their differences on the eve of their parents’ wedding.
HERMAN – 40 to 55 years old, African American male. Charles’ father who is marrying Tamara five years after the death of his first wife; forced to take on an authoritarian position when his children’s fighting ruins his wedding.
TAMARA – 40 to 55 years old, White female. Erin’s fun-loving mother; finally getting remarried after a painful divorce; trying to make everyone happy, but finds that her appreciation of her new stepson breeds resentment in Erin.
REVEREND – 35 to 100 years old, all ethnicities male or female. The minister officiating Tamara and Herman’s wedding ceremony; teases Charles and Erin for interrupting the wedding with their bickering.
MATT (BEST MAN) – 35 to 55 years old, all ethnicities male. Herman’s enthusiastic and overbearing best man at the wedding; has a good heart and a loud voice, but sometimes his comments cause more harm than good.
GRANDMA – 60 to 100 years old, all ethnicities female. Aaron’s kindly grandmother who ultimately convinces him to make things right with his family.
NON SPEAKING WEDDING GUESTS (EXTRAS) – 18 to 100 years old, all ethnicities male or female. non-speaking wedding guests; no previous acting experience required.
