The Couch Characters:
NICHELLE CARTMAN: 34, gorgeous, sexy, intelligent and witty overachiever with tell-tail eyes (speaks
more with her eyes) who loathes testosterone and male arrogance, and is clawing her way up in a male
dominated field.
ERIC: 36 internal, cerebral, stone poker face exterior, deep piercing eyes, overachiever, loaner with few
friends, attractive, serious looking, high moral fiber.
DARIUS WHITTAKER: 30, verbose gay male with a cynical sense of humor. Closest person to a co-worker,
friend of Nichelle.
CANDICE BOUGLER: 50, Managing Partner, tall, brash, quick witted, savvy, wise, ruthless and cunning. Has
figured out how to navigate the male dominate corporate environment, and is hard on Nichelle because
she hasn’t.
MONICA SORRELL: 28, Cute, librarian looking, nosy, executive assistant to Eric.
KNONG LEE: 38, comically cynical Editor at the AJC, college roommate and close friend of Eric.
DOUG WYNDMAN: 56, wise, shrewd, hardened and savvy CEO of Wyndman & Co. Eric’s boss.
DAVID BLAIR: mid 50’s, tall, blue collar engineer with a scruffy beard and ankle chains.
JEFF MCGAUGHEY, 56 years old, scruff, hard, paranoid homicide detective and old family friend.
MRS. CROMWELL, 60, greyish hair, motherly looking woman.
JOHN BRACHMAN, 60, calm, relaxed figurehead and COO of Bougler & Brachman
TONY SORENSEN, 48, SVP, sharp, coy, sleezy lead engineer at Wyndman & Co. with a British accent.
