Seeking Community Actors: Open to actors of all acting experience, ages (10+), and abilities. Actors with improv experience ideal. Must be comfortable with direct address and playing big and bold characters. Artists’ Exchange is a nurturing, safe, and collaborative environment for amateur and professional actors to grow. Volunteer opportunity.
Audition Details: Prepare a one-minute maximum monologue; singers can also sing a cappella if desired. Bring a headshot and resume.

About the Production: Storyline and script is all-original, written by Jessica Chace and Nicole Pellegrino. It’s an interactive, high energy show set at a present-day talent competition titled “Rhody’s Got Talent Dancing With Stars Idol.” Performances are March 22-31 (Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays at 7pm) with a 4-week rehearsal period from February 19-March 17 and tech week March 18-21.
Dates of Commitment: Rehearsals will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-9pm and Saturdays from 1-4pm for four weeks, Feb 19-Mar 17 (subject to change). Actors will be called to most/all rehearsals. Tech week is Mar 18-21, mandatory for all actors.
Show Blurb/Description: Let the star search begin! Singers, dancers, comedians, performance artists, and more will vie for a $1 million dollar prize in Rhode Island’s most competitive talent show: “Rhody’s Got Talent Dancing With Stars Idol.” Hosted in Cranston, you will join the show’s producers, judges, and sponsors for an exciting evening of cut-throat competition and show-stopping numbers. Backstage drama becomes on-stage trauma and the evening takes a dark turn… Behind the bright smiles and jazz hands are jealous hearts, back-stabbing motives, biting rumors and gossip, and dirty tricks. When a guest suddenly dies, the competition ends and an investigation to right the wrong begins.
